درست از نيم قرن پيش، در سال 1340 که آغاز جوانی اوست، زندگي خود را به کار روان شناسی و تعليم و تربيت و فرهنگ، آراسته است.

نظرية بنيادي دکتر لطف آبادي در پژوهشهاي روان شناسي و علوم تربيتي، با نام «خردگرايي مينوي و علمي» ارائه شده که فلسفة زيربنايي همة ديدگاهها و تأليفات و آثار او است.

The fundamental theory provided by Professor Hossein Lotfabadi in psychology and educational sciences researches is called “Scientific & Eternal Wisdom” and is the underlying philosophy of all his standpoints.

او معتقد است، و در آثار خود نشان داده است که، با اتکاء به خردمندي و انديشة درست مي¬توان دانش عيني در روان¬شناسي و علوم تربيتي را با هستي مينوي و انسانی در پيوند با يکديگر قرار داد و از اين راه، افقهاي روشن و مطمئن و رهايي بخش براي زندگي رسا و شادمانه را پيش روي خود و ديگران، گشود.

He believes, and presented in his writings the idea that by relying upon wisdom (or right thinking) we can integrate objective science and humanitarian existence. By doing this, we would have emancipatory and bright horizons in front of us.

بر اساس همين فلسفة خردگرايي مينوي و علمي است که او نظرية روان شناسي «درمان زندگي ايراني» را نيز بنياد نهاده است.

It is according to this “Scientific & Eternal Wisdom” which he established the theory of “Persian Life Therapy“.

دکتر لطف آبادي فرزند نيشابور و خراسانِ بزرگِ ايرانِ کهن است که در خانواده اي دانش دوست و دهقان و باغدار پرورش يافته و از سرچشمه های فرهنگ ايرانی و انسانی سيراب شده و پيوندی محکم با اين گذشتة تاريخی و ملی و فرهنگی خويش دارد.

Dr. Lotfabadi is a son to the city of Neyshabour and great Khorasan – a remaining state of Ancient Iran – who was born to a knowledge-praising, garden-owning, farming family.

ايشان پس از دانش آموزي در دورة ديپلم علوم طبيعی در دبيرستان کمال الملک و کار آموزگاري سپاه دانش در روستاي محيط آباد نيشابور و همزمان با آموزگاري دبستان در روستاي عباس آباد موقوفة بيمارستان نجميه (متعلق به شادروان دکتر محمد مصدق) در بخش فشافوية شهر ري، در سال 1345 وارد دانشگاه تهران شد.

He entered Tehran University, after accomplishing several works: 1. his studentship in the experimental sciences diploma field in Kamaal-ol-molk high school, 2. his Knowledge-Army teaching in Mohit-Aabaad village in Neyshabour, and 3. his primary-school teaching in the village of Abbaas-Aabad (the endowed property of the great Dr. Mohammad Mossadegh’s mother to the Najmieh General Hospital in Tehran) in the City of Rey.

دورة ليسانس را در رشتة روان شناسي و دورة فوق ليسانس را در رشتة روان شناسي تربيتي در دانشگاه تهران گذراند.

It was in the University of Tehran which he got his bachelor degree in psychology and master degree in educational psychology.

ايشان سپس در سال 1353 براي دريافت آموزش دکترا به سوئد رفت و ده سال در آن کشور ماندگار شد. از آن ده سال، پس از دريافت درجة دکتراي تخصصي در رشتة روان شناسي تربيتي (سنجش و ارزشيابي)، از سال 1358 به مدت پنج سال ابتدا در دانشگاه لين شوپينگ و سپس در دانشگاه تربيت معلم کالمار در سوئد به عنوان استاديار روان شناسي تربيتي به تدريس پرداخت.

He then went to Sweden in year 1974 to gain his education in Doctorate level and stayed in that country for ten years.
After gaining his Ph. D. in educational psychology (Educational Assessment and Evaluation), he worked for five years in LinkÖping University and then at Kalmar Teacher Training University as an assistant professor of educational psychology.

دکتر لطف آبادي، همزمان با بازگشايي دانشگاهها در ايران، به سبب عشق ديرين و پايان نايافتني به ميهن، از سال 1363 و در سالهاي سخت جنگ تحميلي به ايران بازگشت و در دانشگاه فردوسي مشهد به عنوان عضو هيأت علمی مشغول به کار شد و تا سال 1380 به عنوان استاد روان شناسي تربيتي در آن دانشگاه به تدريس و تحقيق پرداخت.

By the re-opening of universities in Iran and during the exhausting years of the imposed-war, Dr. Lotfabadi returned to Iran due to his old and faithful love for the country and started working in Ferdowsi University of Mashad.

در اين مدت، چهار سال را نيز به عنوان پروفسور مهمان و مدعو در دانشگاه تورانتو در کانادا در انستيتوي مطالعات تربيتي آنته ريو به تدريس و پژوهش اشتغال داشت.

During this time, he was also an invited and guest professor in The Ontario Institute for Studies in Education at the University of Toronto (Canada) for four years.

پروفسور لطف آبادي، از سال 1380 به دانشگاه شهيد بهشتي در تهران (که در اصل “دانشگاه ملي ايران” نام داشته) انتقال يافت و به عنوان استاد روان شناسي به تدريس و پژوهش پرداخت.

Professor Lotfabadi’s work was transferred to Shahid-Beheshti University in Tehran (which was previously called “National University of Iran”) from year 2001 and started teaching and researching as an Educational Psychology Professor.

هم اکنون نيز ايشان استاد همين دانشگاه است و با برخي دانشگاههاي کانادا نيز همکاري دارد.

Today he is a professor of the same university and has collaborations with some of the Canadian universities.

در کنار تدريس دروس روان شناسي و پژوهش در مسائل اين رشته، وی بطور پاره وقت به کار روان سنجي و مشاورة روانی در کلينيک خود در (شمارة 10، خيابان گلستان يکم، ولنجک) تهران، با پروانة نظام روان¬شناسی و مشاورة کشور، اشتغال دارد.

Besides teaching psychology courses and researching into the issues of this professional branch, he is working par-time in his private Clinic of Psychology in Tehran (No. 10, First Golestan Avenue, Velenjak, tel: 021-22409520).

ايشان، همچنين، باقيماندة وقت خود را به کار پژوهش و تأليف و نيز تدوين و تهية برنامه هاي رسانه اي در «فلسفة خردگرايي مينوي و علمي» و نظرية «درمان زندگي ايراني» صرف می-کند.
